The Indian Family Institute (IFI) is an educational, counselling, and professional training centre. **We do not provide active emergency medical, psychiatric, or crisis intervention services.**
If you or someone you know is experiencing thoughts of self-harm, suicide, or an acute psychiatric/emotional emergency, please reach out to dedicated state or national helplines immediately, or visit the nearest hospital emergency room.
1. Counselling & Clinical Services
Our counsellors provide non-emergency emotional, relational, and psychotherapeutic guidance. All clinical services are scheduled by appointment and are subject to practitioner availability and intake assessment frameworks.
2. Session Cancellation & Rescheduling
Clients are requested to provide at least 24 hours notice for rescheduling or cancelling an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to standard session fees to respect practitioner scheduling.
3. Educational & Professional Training
Our counselor training programs, certifications, and educational workshops are intended for professional formation and personal growth. Completing a Level or Specialisation program does not guarantee state licensing or immediate clinical placement, which are regulated by separate regional authorities.
4. Limitation of Liability
The content on this website (including articles, descriptions, and educational models) is for general awareness and educational purposes only. It should never be treated as a substitute for professional psychiatric diagnosis or immediate medical treatment.
5. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, under the jurisdiction of the courts of Chandigarh, India.
